Zero Liquid Discharge for Effluents from Insecticide and Pesticide plant at Cuddalore

The raw effluent has a TDS exceeding 1,00,000 mg/l from some streams and COD as high as 55,000 mg/l and besides, solvents were ingressing into the effluent. CEC assisted in pilot trials of disc membranes and designed an integrated treatment with thermal evaporators for high TDS streams and membrane systems for low TDS streams and achieving zero liquid discharge
